Frequently Asked Questions

Security

Why do you ask for my phone number?

Not for marketing calls. It's what every login checks against, yours included, and it's what keeps automated accounts out in a way a password alone can't. Encrypted before storage, never shown to other members.

Why did I have to try the login step twice?

Intentional, not a glitch. It's how the system separates a person from a script without tipping off which attempt was right or wrong. Stuck? Refresh and start over.

What does the verified badge mean?

That member has an active subscription, and identity verification is required to get one — not a separate step, not something skippable. Stripe checks their ID and payment method before the first charge goes through; we never see either. Verified members also rank higher in match results.

Privacy

Why isn't there a mobile app?

A phone app requires OS-level permissions a dating profile has no genuine need for. A website carries no such standing access. Deliberate, not an oversight.

Should I use a VPN here?

Better not to. It weakens the location and fraud checks meant to protect your own account, and it's a known method for scraping profiles at scale once regular IP limits would otherwise stop it. If a match's claimed location looks inconsistent, a VPN on their end is one possible reason.

Can I sign in with Google or Facebook?

No, deliberately. A social login would tie your dating profile directly back to your identity on a platform that has its own tracking to worry about.

Do you run ads?

No, which also means there's no ad-network tracking pixel following you around afterward. Growth here runs on word of mouth, not paid advertising.

How do I delete my account?

Account Settings, once logged in. Locked out and need data removed instead? Use the contact email on the Privacy Policy page.

Anti-scam

Nothing about this platform benefits from fake accounts staying active — there's no ad revenue or engagement metric here that fake profiles would help.

Can someone ask me for crypto, gift cards, or money?

No. Crypto isn't accepted anywhere on the platform, and members never need to send each other money for anything. Anyone asking is running a scam. Stop responding and report the account.

Photos

What happens to photos I upload?

CDR Guardian strips embedded metadata — location tags, device identifiers — before storage, so a photo can't be traced back to where or on what device it was taken.

How do I check a photo someone sent me?

That feature is still being built, powered by CDR Guardian, not live yet. Once it ships, checking a photo will also help flag it as reused or stolen for other members, not just you.

Is it okay to include kids in my photos?

No, not yours, not anyone else's. Predators specifically target dating profiles for this. It's a strict rule.

Are nude or explicit photos allowed?

No, anywhere on the platform. Immediate, permanent ban.

Pricing

Is this site free?

Browsing and messaging tiers vary and are subject to change; check current plans once logged in. Identity verification is bundled into your first payment automatically, unlike platforms that charge extra for it separately. Stripe does charge us a real fee per verification, but that cost sits inside your subscription rather than getting upsold to you. Part of why prices are lower: no shareholders pushing for constant growth, and no ad budget either.

Does any of this go to charity?

Yes — a percentage of revenue is committed to charity, with the exact figure to be finalized and published once it's set. Every paying member contributes to that just by subscribing.
